Take the Gingerbread Tour at Disney World by dealing with Disney

The Gingerbread Trail available at Disney World!

There are 4 Main locations that hosts the Gingerbread exhibits; Grand Floridian, Beach Club Resort, The Contemporary Resort and now Wilderness Lodge has joined in this year.
I try my best to get to Disney World to see the amazing art created with their confectionary (Bakery team) during the holidays. The Gingerbread is simply amazing. They capture the finest details from copying the texture in a fabric through icing or chocolate to painting portraits that are entirely edible.
It blows my mind!

Fun Fact: when touring the displays, find all the hidden Mickeys!

Unique Christmas desserts are found at each location along with a hot cocoa options, you can even add a little spice in your cocoa if inclined to!

This is how I made my rounds since it can be tricky driving or using Disney Transportation. If driving, some resorts (especially when full or going through refurbishment) may turn guests away that are not staying at that resort or do not have dining reservations for destined resort.

We were staying at Art of Animation. The direction or start of your tour can be changed depending on your start and finish locations.

Art of Animation has access to the new Disney Skyliner, so off we went towards our first destination, Disney’s Beach Club resort.
We arrived via skyliner to EPCOT station. From there, we walked to the Beach Club resort.
We toured the Gingerbread Carousel!

NEXT:
From Beach club, we hopped on a Resort bus heading to Magic Kingdom
From Magic Kingdom, we jumped on another bus to head to Wilderness Lodge. We could have taken a resort boat, but the kids were NOT wanting to. There are at least two modes of transportation for this.
At Wilderness Lodge we looked over the resort at their gorgeous Christmas décor as well as their new gingerbread creation, a Log Cabin. Humphrey (The Bear) created in confectionary is there decorating his cabin welcoming all his guests! Chip and Dale are hanging out behind the cabin cozied up to a campfire! This display was the simplest one but still beautiful! Being the first year of show, I can only imagine the creativity that will build from it in each year to come. Here we decided to get our cocoa. They don’t offer marshmallow HOWEVER, they have a toasted marshmallow flavor to add to it.

NEXT:
From Wilderness Lodge, we hopped on a resort boat to take us over to the Contemporary resort. We timed it perfectly, they were bringing in the Water Pageant Parade-lining it up for its nightly showing. Our boat sailed right past the barges; it was fascinating seeing them so close up-how they are made.
We arrived at the Contemporary, went up to the 4th floor (same floor as Chef Mickey).
Here we saw the amazing gingerbread Mural showcasing the castle, Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother. The first year this display debuted with Elsa’s Castle. To pay proper respect to her, you can find hidden Frozen characters around the Mural along with the Hidden Mickey’s. Can you find them all?

NEXT:
On to resort monorail -located on 5th floor. (be prepared to go through quick security check),
This will take us to our next resort, Grand Floridian. The Homes resort to the original Gingerbread house.
What else can I say that has not been said about this masterpiece. It is as grand as the resort. I applaud the creators to all these masterpieces!
Go check out everything! Pretty much 99% of these displays are all made from confectionary and gingerbread.

NEXT: Return to our home resort!
We took the resort monorail back to Magic Kingdom, we caught a park bus back to Art of Animation.
In doing our tour, we also took all 4 main modes of Disney transportations; Boat, Monorail, Bus and Skyliner!
